About Amy Studios
Artist Bio
Art has always been a constant in my life. I grew up in a family of creators, starting with my great-grandfather and continuing through my father and sister. Growing up surrounded by Northern California’s landscapes gave me a deep connection to nature and wildlife, which naturally became the focus of my work.
I specialize in oil painting, focusing mainly on animal portraits and California landscapes. When I paint animals, my goal is to look past the surface and capture a bit of their personality and spirit—whether it’s a wild animal or a beloved family pet. I love using oils to build up clean, rich layers that give each piece a sense of life and warmth.
Living in California, I’m constantly inspired by our diverse terrain. I spend a lot of time capturing everything from our quiet rolling hills to the rugged mountains and coastlines, trying to share the raw beauty of my home state through a mix of traditional techniques and my own personal style.
Pet portraits are especially meaningful to me. There is something incredibly rewarding about creating a lasting tribute to someone's companion. I love working closely with clients to capture the unique personality of their pets and celebrate the bond they share, and I am always so excited to create custom, heartfelt pieces for people who love and cherish their animals. Ultimately, my hope is that my paintings tell a quiet story and connect with anyone who shares a deep love for animals and nature.
When I’m not in the studio with a paintbrush in hand, you can usually find me playing the piano, spending time with my family, or hanging out with my Boxer dogs. I also love taking travel adventures and going on artistic retreats to clear my head and find fresh inspiration for my next piece.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you and creating a custom art piece for you to cherish for years to come.
